Our reports are digital products made for one property. Here is when we refund, and how.

Full refund

You will get a full refund if:

  • Your report has not been delivered yet. Change your mind before we deliver it? Email us and we will cancel your order and refund you in full.
  • We cannot produce a report for your address. Sometimes there is not enough reliable data for a property, the property is outside California, or the property type is outside what our report covers. If that happens, we will tell you and refund you in full. You do not need to ask.
  • Your report is late. If your report has not been delivered within 48 hours of your order, you can choose to keep waiting or to get a full refund.

Fix or refund for a material error

If your report contains a material error, tell us within 30 days of delivery. We will correct it and send you an updated report. If we cannot correct it, we will refund you in full.

A material error is a mistake on our side that changes the results in a meaningful way. For example:

  • the report is for the wrong property
  • beds, baths or square footage we looked up are wrong
  • there is a calculation mistake
  • a section described on our website is missing

A material error is not:

  • a difference of opinion about an estimate
  • a later change in the market
  • a result that is based on information you gave us

Promo codes

If promo codes are offered, they are applied on the Stripe checkout page. One code can be used per order. Codes cannot be combined and cannot be added after purchase. Refunds are for the amount you actually paid.

How to ask for a refund

Email [email protected] with:

  • the email address you used at checkout
  • the property address
  • a short note on what went wrong

Dave Kucera reviews each request and issues approved refunds himself. We will reply as quickly as we can.

Approved refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe. They usually show up within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

If something is not right, please contact us before you dispute a charge with your bank. We would rather fix it with you directly.
